Askern on Parade

Cadets from across the Sector recently attended the Armed Forces day in Doncaster.

Askern Cadets made up part of the parade. There was over 90 Air Cadets that attended this parade, again was the biggest turn out in the cadet forces.

The Cadets Formed up for the day to begin, all looking very smart.
The Air Cadets had to be split into three flights due to the number that turned out.

The Cadets then marched passed the Mansion House in Doncaster. Members of the public clapped as the cadets marched through Doncaster. Finishing at Doncaster Cathedral, where they had a service to remember the Hero's.
Askern Squadron is one of many Squadrons around the country which are part of the Air Training Corps. A youth organisation open to anyone aged 13-17, or over 20 for staff. The Squadron tries to ensure that all cadets get at least one flight per year, as well as giving the cadets a solid grounding in aviation related subjects.
