Up, Up and Away!

Recently I have given gliding a go, at RAF Syerston. The arrangement is a powerful winch at on side of the airfield that launches the glider – which makes for a truly exhilarating take off!
Once in the air there is a programme of instruction about the basic controls and manoeuvres, where we take control of the aircraft.
I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and have applied to take it a step further by applying for a gliding scholarship (despite the bumpy grass landings!)
