Part Task Trainers - Instructor Training
Viewed 1939 times.
Are you interested in assisting delivering aviation training to Cadets? Are you IT literate, have relevant flying (VGS/AEF/Private SEP/BGA or GSA) and instructional experience (VGS/ATC Sqn/FI or FE/Teaching), as well as being able to commit to a minimum of 1 full instructional day per month?
As part of the revised modular aviation training package, there will be the introduction of Part Task Trainers for synthetic training purposes. The majority of PTT are located at Volunteer Gliding Squadrons (VGS) and will be staffed by either current or former VGS Qualified Gliding Instructors (QGI). However, there remains a limited requirement for PTT instructors at standalone PTTs located at Aerospace Training Squadrons (ATS).
The ATS footprint provides PTT provision for areas geographically disadvantaged with regards to VGS. ATS are currently projected to be based at the following locations:
a. JHC FS Aldergrove
b. RAF Lossiemouth
c. MoD St Athan
d. RAF Marham
e. Staffordshire (location TBC)
PTT instructor training will be provided by Central Gliding School (CGS) at RAF Syerston. 3 courses are initially programmed for 2017. (Dates available upon request)
Individuals wishing to be considered for PTT instructor training are to contact Wing Commander Mark Brayford RAFVR(T), Regional Gliding Officer, North Region (go.north AT aircadets.org), in the first instance, providing details of their aviation and instructional experience.
