2357 Goole Squadron Presentation Evening

On Friday the 4th of March 2016, 2357 Goole Squadron ATC celebrated our Annual Presentation Evening. This was to recognise the achievements of both cadets and staff throughout the previous year. There was a large collection of official awards and a few more light hearted awards to portray the sense of humour of some of the cadets.
The Squadron was lucky enough to have local dignitaries in attendance including Officer Commanding Sector Two, South and West Yorkshire Wing, Squadron Leader Iain Kirk RAFVR(T), The Chief of Staff, South and West Yorkshire Wing, Squadron Leader Barry French RAFVR(T), Colonel David Fuller OBE MNM DL and Air Commodore Ian Stewart CBE, FRAeS.
Some of the official awards included Best New Recruit, Most Improved Cadet, Junior Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year and Senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year. There was also a variety of informal awards such as The Shadow Award, NHS Direct Award and Last Cadet Standing Award.
The evening started with a video showing all the activities that occurred over the past year that 2357 Goole Squadron took part in, these activities include a Rank Swap Auction Night, numerous Summer Camps at RAF Stations and achieving second place in the Wing Drill Competition.
The evening ended with closing words from Officer Commanding 2357 Goole Squadron, Squadron Leader Adrian Owen RAFVR(T) and Colonel D Fuller.
We would like to offer all the cadets and staff of 2357 Goole Squadron our sincerest congratulations for all their hard work throughout 2015 and hope that the hard work and determination continues.
