The hotly anticipated documentary celebrating 60 years of 2344 (Longbenton) Squadron has proven to be popular.

Staring cadets from the squadron's early years through to the present day, the short documentary details how the RAF Air Cadet Squadron has progressed over the decades by looking back on memories, activities and how technology has advanced.

Back in February, the documentary had its premier with over 300 members of the community in attendance. The size and scale of the premier is a reflection of the enduring popularity of Squadron and how much it is valued throughout the community.

Officer Commanding, Flight Lieutenant Gary Richardson, said; "The documentary shows how children from across the decades join the squadron and their experiences help to guide and nurture them into young adults, along with the support of their families and friends.

"What one generation leaves behind another generation works with and develops. As we look back to celebrate our Diamond Anniversary, there is a huge degree of excitement surrounding our future and for me personally, it's an absolute pleasure and privilege to command Longbenton Squadron; it's certainly more than just a Squadron."
