On Monday 29th February cadets from I (induction) flight were joined by their proud parents and other family members to celebrate their graduation from their 1st class syllabus.

12 cadets were fully enrolled by the Wing Padre, swearing an oath of loyalty to the Air Training Corps in front of over 25 family members, the Officer Commanding and other members of staff.

In order to pass 1st class, cadets have studied hard in lessons on military history, airmanship knowledge, jet engine propulsion and have been taught how the no. 8 rifle works.

As well as all this, budding cadets that join the 2388 (Castleford) squadron can learn to fly a plane, shoot rifles, and take part in their Duke of Edinburgh awards - amongst many other activities!
