By Sgt (ATC) Gareth Heppenstall - 148 (Barnsley) Squadron
Recently, a group of cadets from 148 (Barnsley) Squadron undertook fieldcraft training over two Saturdays.
Over the course of the training they were taught what to do on exercises that they may undertake on camp or as a squadron activity. They learnt about all the manoeuvres, signals and about how their senses work at night and how equipment they will use works. All the cadets were fully engaged and enjoyed the camouflage parts of the lessons because they were able to use camouflage cream and get a bit dirty.
The cadets did fantastic and can now participate more fully in any night exercises they go on.
