Cadets from Crowle Squadron came to the aid of the Epworth Branch of the Royal British Legion and volunteered their time to help with the annual Poppy Appeal.
The cadets gave up their Saturday morning to assist the Legion with their collection in Epworth high street. Despite poor weather, the cadets stuck it out and did a fantastic job in helping to raise money and awareness.
They also found some time for a little fun and games while collecting.
Flight Lieutenant Docherty, Officer Commanding Crowle Squadron said, “We offered to assist the RBL with their collection this year after assisting them with their VJ Celebrations.” He continued “Overall it was a great success with nearly £300 raised on the day, in addition to that the Legion had already raised”.
