It's GOLD for Cadet Warrant Officer Emily Bethell of 236 (Bollington) Squadron Air Training Corps!

Achieving a Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award is a really BIG deal. It shows that the individual has the skills, determination and mentality to really succeed. Emily spent 12 months volunteering and undertook a 4 day expedition as well as successfully completing a Residential activity - staying away from home for 5 days with people she didn't know.

To celebrate this significant achievement, Cadet Warrant Officer Bethell will be invited to an Award Presentation ceremony at St James's Palace and will receive her Award in the presence of the HRH The Duke of Edinburgh or HRH The Earl of Wessex.

Cadet Warrant Officer Emily Bethell said "I'm absolutely ecstatic. After several set backs, it is such an incredible feeling knowing I've completed it. It has been a long time coming!"

Congratulations Emily - we are so proud of you :-)
