During a recent camp at RAF Valley the cadets and staff visited the RNLI Lifeboat at Holyhead. The visit was the second time Barnsley Air Cadets have been part of a visit to the station and onboard. The visit is incredibly rewarding to see the equipment, see the work the team do and spend time talking about the job they do with the RNLI team. There was a lot of admiration and questions from the cadets, but the highlight was to go onboard and have a tour of the lifeboat.
We thank the team at Holyhead for their warm welcome for the second year, escorting our cadets around the station. As a very small thank you we have had a collection for the team and have sent a cheque in for £55.00 for the RNLI. We know the team will spend this small donation wisely and we hope to see them again in 2016.
Our admiration and thanks go to you all.
