OC 1114 Squadron Swaps Parade Shoes for Trainers

Officer Commanding 1114 (Gosforth) Squadron of the Air Cadets swaps his parade shoes for trainers and completes the 2015 Great North Run.

Flight Lieutenant Aaron O’Roarty RAF VR(T) (35yrs) ran the 13.1 mile course on Sunday 13th September 2015 in aid of the Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA). He completed the race in a respectful 2hrs 54mins 58 Seconds.

Flt Lt Aaron O’Roarty said “It was hard work and today every muscle is aching but the sence of achivement on crossing the line was amazing. The support of my Family, Friends and colleagues got me through it”
