This evening the 148 (Barnsley) Sqn band was proud to play for Commandant Air Cadets whilst marching under the wing of the Vulcan XH558.

The band was requested to lead the parade for the first enrolment evening for the newly formed 1053 (Finningley) Detached Flight. Drum Major CWO Williams lead the parade from the Squadron HQ to the hanger that is home to Vulcan XH558 where parents and distinguished guests were gathered for the enrolment ceremony. Commandant Air Cadets and South and West Yorkshire Wing Commander gave a short speech before the Detached Flight Cadets were presented with their 3822s.

It was an honour to perform in front of the Commandant Air Cadets and for the cadets to meet the Commandant and Wing Commander Daniel.

The Cadets from 1053 (Finningley) Detached Flight did themselves proud and we wish them all well in the Cadet careers.
