We are proud to announce that Seaham squadron have won the Marshall Trophy for 2015. It is a national award given to the most improved squadron over the past 3 years. We were up against tough competition from 5 other squadrons in the 5 other regions around the UK. The award is chosen and will be presented by Commandant Air Cadets Air Commodore Dawn McCafferty RAFR.
The award would not be possible without the outstanding efforts over the past 3 years from all the cadets, staff and civilian committee on the squadron.
Flt Lt Gavin Houghton RAF VR(T) said “It is a great honour to be Officer Commanding 1338 (Seaham) Squadron. I believe it is the first time this award has been given to a squadron in Durham Northumberland Wing. I would like to extend my thanks to all of the cadets, civilian committee and staff. A huge well done!”
