Squadron Band Leads Armed Forces Parade in Leeds

On Saturday 27th June 2015 the 148 (Barnsley) Squadron marching band was proud to lead the Armed Forces Day Parade in Leeds.
The event was hosted by the Lord Mayor of Leeds and featured two parades. The first parade was a freedom parade by 4th Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment who were inspected by Lord Mayor, Children’s Lord Mayor and The Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire and then joined up with the second parade to march past the Lord Mayor and guests for the salute at the war memorial in the city centre.
The City of Leeds Pipe band and also 4th Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment Band took part in the parade along with Veterans, local Air Cadet, Sea Cadet and Army Cadet squadrons. Thousands of people turned out to show their continuing support for the Armed Services.
