Crowle Air Cadets recently attended the North Lincolnshire Armed Forces Day Parade, held at Glanford Park, the home of Scunthorpe United Football Club. The cadets paraded into the reviewing areas before being inspected by Air Marshall Sir Barry Mark North. After this they paraded out.
The parade, part of the national Armed Forces Day celebrations, had representative from the Armed services, both current, reserve and veterans, the Cadet forces, in the shape of the Sea, Army and Air cadets and was followed by a daylong event celebrating the Armed forces and recognising what they do and have done.
Flight Lieutenant J Docherty of Crowle Squadron, who led the parade, said “It was a great day, the weather held off for the parade, which was the biggest worry”. He continued “The cadets put on a really good show for the public and it was nice to see them recognised as part of our armed services.”
