Athletic Success for Crowle

Crowle Air Cadets recently took part in the South and West Yorkshire Wing Athletics competition. They came away with 2 Gold medals (Corporals Bradley Cram, and Andrew Wallace), 2 Silver medals(FLight Sergeant Daniel Wheatley) and a Bronze medal (Corporal Andrew Wallace) in various disciplines throughout the day.
The competition sees the 33 Squadrons in South and West Yorkshire Wing compete in various athletic disciplines, in various age groups. The Squadron was placed 12th overall in the Junior Boy’s group, 9th in the Youth’s Group, 9th in the Junior Men’s group, 9th for overall males and 15th in the whole competition, despite a lack of female entrants.
2 of the cadets, Corporals Cram and Wallace have been selected to represent South and West Yorkshire Wing in the upcoming Inter Wing competition, with further cadets being on the reserve list. This competition sees the 5 Wings from the North of England compete in the various disciplines.
Athletics and sport are just a few of the many opportunities Crowle Squadron offers to its members, both cadets and staff. Air Cadets is a youth organisation open to anyone aged 13-17.
