CASTLEFORD HOT SHOTS!

Cadets from 2388 (Castleford) Squadron Air Cadets have recently been presented with the 'Wakefield Trophy' by Regional Commandant Group Captain Steve Harpum. The squadron were the top South and West Yorkshire area in the "Wakefield Trophy Short Range Full Bore Competition".  This is the first time in at least twenty years that the squadron has won the competition, competing against the other 33 squadrons in the wing.

Squadron Commander Flight Lieutenant Vicky Williamson said "2388's big push for this year has been target shooting  and as is always the case; my staff team and cadets have not just achieved this but surpassed that target! Wining the Wakefield Trophy is a great recognition of this for my Shooting Officer and Cadets."
