Volunteer Reservist, Pilot Officer David Anderson took part in the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon to raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Trust dressed as Percy Pig!

David, of 2344 (Longbenton) Squadron, trotted his way around the course as part of the M & S team helping to raise over £13,000.  The money raised will help support essential MacMillan services in local communities around the UK, like the famous Macmillan professionals.

“It was a great run to do, and the scenery was great. I was ‘roasting’ by the end and absolutely wrecked running in the Percy Pig onesie,” said David. “It was worth it though to raise much needed funds,” he added.

The 13.1 mile course in London passes iconic buildings such as Buckingham Palace, London Eye, Houses of Parliament and the Royal Albert Hall.
