Last night, 4th August, at 10pm, The Squadron and Workington Royal British Legion remembered those that lost their lives in WW1 and the many millions more that suffered horrific injuries.
The commemoration of the start of WW1 reminds us all of the great sacrifices made by so many that helped to give us the freedom and peace that we have today.
When considering the many current conflicts around the world that are still happening we still have a long way to go in learning the many lessons from that time and about just how fragile peace is.
Thank you to Cpl Andrew McMinn and Sgt Yens Phillips for attending tonight's event.
