Armed Forces Day 2014

On Saturday 28th June 2014, cadets and staff from 2431 (Keighley) Squadron ATC, gathered in Keighley Town Centre to mark Armed Forces Day 2014.
The day started early morning were a few cadets met up and we set up our stand at the events field at Cliffe Castle, after this we headed back to the town centre where we watched a small ceremony, within which local Dignitaries and council members and veterans spoke about armed forces and there legacy and one of our own cadets read a small poem out and then we finished with a minutes silence.
After this we headed back to the events field were we formed up and marched into the arena were we were inspected by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of our area.
The rest of the day included events like tug of war between Air cadets and Sea cadets, a drill demonstration and an obstacle course, as well as our activities there were reenactors and military members there doing demonstrations and activities, the day ended with a final parade and a lowering of the flag.
