are going to hold an Act of Remembrance and a sponsored event.

We are going to mount a Guard of the Blackpool War Memorial on Monday 4th August 2014.

This event will be from Dawn (05:00hrs) to Dusk (22:00hrs).

This will be a Sponsored event with all proceeds for the benefit of Blind Veterans UK and BLESMA (British Limbless Ex-Servicemans Association). Both of these charities were formed following the carnage of World War One.

The Cadets will carry out a Guard of the War memorial, four cadets at a time on the corners of the memorial. All cadets and staff will be rotated on and off duty at suitable intervals as the day progresses.

Everyone will be catered for; all meals and drinks. No one will be expected to provide meals for themselves.

The event will start with a Sunrise ceremony with the playing of Revellie and will conclude with a Sunset ceremony and the playing of the Last post with a roll of honour of the inscribed names being read throughout the day.
