Sunday 8th December 2013, saw 1053 (Armthorpe) Squadron parade at Doncaster Crematorium, ‘Rose Hill’ along with several other Squadrons from ‘Sector 2’ of the South and West Yorkshire Wing.
The annual ‘Rose Hill Parade’ is a parade that takes place within Rose Hill Cemetery itself. The cemetery is located in Cantley, Doncaster, and usually takes place on the second Sunday of December. Air Cadets from the Doncaster area come together for this short service, along with the ‘Fellowship of the Graves’ in order to remember those who were ’Killed in Action’ whilst on active duty in the services in past and present conflicts i.e. Navy, Army and Royal Air Force.
