Duke of Edinburgh's Award

The Air Training is the largest body involved in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. The Award is a voluntary, non-competitive programme of practical, cultural and adventurous activities for young people aged 14-25. 

The Award consists of three levels, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Each level has differing criteria for entry and the level of achievement necessary to complete. Each level consists of 4 areas (5 for Gold) which the participant undertakes.

The Award is widely recognised by employers.  It helps demonstrate that the holder is keen to take on new challenges, has a higher level of self confidence, have leadership qualities with the added experience of teamwork.
